After calling myself a Pantheist and engaging in various spiritual practices (Rituals, meditation, etc) for a while now I have come to a confrontation that I had with my mom and since I was baffled at the right answer for her I thought I would come here.

1. What is the difference between a nature lover and a Pantheist?
Nature soothes me, I feel whole and connected when I am in nature-The cool summers, the rain, the stars at night, the mountains and the river...

I never understood the concept of modesty. Growing up I went nude in my room and around the house when nobody was around.

I unknowingly wound up at a clothing optional beach and had a few moments of uncertainty about participating. Not because of modesty, but fear of bieng ridiculed if any problems were to "arise" if you catch my drift. It took about 12 seconds for me to feel completely at ease with being nude in front of total strangers in mixed company.

I've briefly checked out Pantheism organizational efforts, and it seems to be dying a slow death (only from an organizing standpoint!). The organization's Web site is looking dated. Plus this forum has been active for nearly a decade and has some pretty marginal participation stats:

Good morning all! I want to share my happiness at finally welcoming Spring to Wyoming. Calves and lambs are frolicking in the fields that are turning green. Spring bulbs are coming up and the elk are retreating into the mountains for the summer after a long winter at the Elk Refuge feeding grounds. Hello to all. I am a retired Catholic and full time atheist. I was raised in the Catholic Church, but never really bought into it. At the time and place, there really wasn't much of a choice. South Louisiana was then about 95% Catholic, and being a Cajun, I was not part of the 5%. I found the teachings very difficult to accept, but just went along. I came to really love the ritual of the Catholicism of the 1950s and early 60s. I still do find I enjoy it when I wander into a church...
