WE can see it thru NATURE so the use of the word can be null and void. No one has ever seen him, only recorded words so belief in him can be imaginary since he doesnt show himself or speak anymore since adam/eve, and one other time I believe it was saul<I dont know what he said>, I don't read the bible. I preferred the term the Deity. Now, me being an atheist and a pantheist, I don't like the term "god" or deity. It implies a personal deity/god. Which I don't believe in. I think the person who said that nature implies only woodlands to most people made a good point. With that in mind, I don't really like to use nature either. I don't like the term PAN that good either. as mentioned, it is an ancient pagan deity. A personified personal deity of sorts. I think the term "the Universe" is the best term. But that's just my personal opinion.

I avoid it for the same reason. I also have a sense of the word "nature" bringing to mind a forest, but I also think of nature as the idea of the Universe following fixed, unconcious physical laws, vs supernatural, being the product of a conciousness that is subject to no physical laws. So I'm good with the word "nature". "Cosmos" could be a synonym.

People pray to deitys, I pay reverence to nature and the universe. I would say to anyone seeking divinity, I understand the wiccans have a plethora of deitys. rtbwpm
